Marksmen, hunters, and families who like to prove their prowess with a shotgun will have a chance to compete and share good times at the Wild Goose Skeet Shoot.
There will be five shooting stations and two Annie Oakleys. An Annie Oakley promises to be the most entertaining event for participants and spectators. A group of five shooters line up at the mark, a clay pigeon is launched and Shooter No. 1 takes the first shot. If the pigeon is hit, the round starts again. If the pigeon is missed, Shooter No. 2 takes a shot while it's still in the air. If Shooter No. 2 hits the pigeon, Shooter No. 1 is eliminated. This process continues until only one winner is left from that round. Another group of five toe the line and the eliminations begin again. The Annie Oakley ends when all but the winning Shooter have been eliminated.
The annual Wild Goose Skeet Shoot will be held near the Delta Shooting Range. It's located just 5.5 miles north of Delta on Highway US-6 E as you head towards Lyndyll.
